Visiting Guidelines
Starting April 1, 2021
As more people are getting vaccinated and the protocols for Covid 19 are becoming less restrictive, it has been decided that SGMH will begin to allow limited visiting for non-covid inpatients starting on Thursday, April 1st.
Visiting hours will be from 1pm – 7pm daily.
Visiting will be restricted to 1 visitor at a time per patient.
Visitors will be required to remain in the patient’s room, and cannot access other areas of the hospital.
Visitor entrance will be through the Women’s Center lobby.
Visitors will be required to have their temperature taken, wear a mask at all times, and answer screening questions regarding symptoms.
The monitoring associate in the lobby will call the nursing unit before allowing the visitor to go to the unit.
The visitor will check in with the unit secretary or charge nurse when arriving on the unit and when leaving.
No outside food or belongings may be brought in without permission from the charge nurse or unit director.
ED – One visitor per patient will be allowed.
OB – One visitor will be allowed to stay with the patient 24 hrs./day and a second visitor during normal visiting hours 10am – 8pm.
Diagnostic Imaging patients will be allowed to have one person accompany them and wait in the D. I. waiting room.
Because of space limitations and the inability to social distance, visitors will not be allowed in pre-op or PACU. They will need to wait in the lobby.
